Transforming Lives Through the Power of Work
At Goodwill Middle Tennessee, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive — no matter their background or circumstances. That’s why, when you donate or shop at your local Goodwill store, you're doing more than just clearing out your closet or scoring a great deal — you're helping change lives across our community.
How Your Donations Make a Difference
Did you know that 93% of our revenue comes directly from the sale of donated items? Every shirt, toaster or book you drop off helps fund free job training, education and employment services for people right here in Middle and West Tennessee.
Whether it’s someone rebuilding their life after incarceration or a job seeker gaining new skills to change careers — your donations and purchases help open doors for people facing real challenges.
Career Coaches: Building Brighter Futures
Through our Goodwill Career Solutions centers, we’re breaking down barriers and building up our community by offering career services designed to meet people where they are and help them move forward.
Our Career Solutions Centers offer free career coaching, job placement, resume building, job fairs, and educational classes. We provide training in high-demand fields like construction, welding, solar installation, forklift operation, and Google IT. Additionally, we offer virtual classes that can be completed in as few as one or two hours, covering topics such as digital literacy, financial literacy, and soft skills like communication and teamwork
Real Impact. Local Change.
In 2024, Goodwill served 8,551 people across 48 counties, delivering more than 32,000 free education, training and employment service activities. Our efforts helped local Tennesseans overcome barriers and secure meaningful employment.
We are proud to be a locally operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, guided by a dedicated 25-member Board of Directors and powered by more than 1,500 employees. Founded in 1957, we have deep roots in this community and remain committed to helping Tennesseans gain the skills, support and confidence they need to succeed.
Donate. Shop. Change A Life
